Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today informed that Union Minister Amit Shah may visit Odisha in the month of February.

Odisha BJP general secretary, Prithviraj Harichandan said that the Eastern Zonal Council meeting has been postponed and subsequently Shah's visit to the State will be delayed by a few days.

"The zonal council meeting is likely to be held on February 13 or 14. Hence, there has been a change in the scheduled visit of Amit Shah to the State," said Harichandan adding that a final decision on the party programme will be taken only after the date for the zonal meeting is fixed.

The Eastern Zonal Council meeting was earlier scheduled to be held in Odisha on January 31. Apart from the Home Minister, Chief Ministers of Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and Sikkim are likely to be a part of the meeting.
