Bhubaneswar: Hockey fever is all set to pitch sky high as the offline sale of tickets for the most awaited Men’s Hockey World Cup in the city will begin from tomorrow.

According to sources, the tickets will be available at counters near Gate number – 9 of the iconic Kalinga Stadium, the venue where the mega sporting extravaganza will be played from November 28 to December 16 this year. This apart, the tickets will also be available at different outlets in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

People can buy tickets from 10 am to 5 pm everyday at the counters. General tickets have been priced at Rs 200 (East Stand), Rs 100 (North Stand) and Rs 100 (South Stand) for the Pool and Crossover matches while tickets for the Knockout, Semi-Finals and Final matches are priced at Rs 250 (East Stand), Rs 150 (North Stand and Rs 150 (South Stand).

The sale of online general tickets for the Pool matches had started on May 28 while the e-tickets for the semi-finals and final of the tournament had begun on September 14 earlier this year.

Bhubaneswar is hosting the fourteenth edition of the most prestigious hockey competition in the world which will consist of a total of 36 matches spanning over 19 days. The first match will see World No. 3 Belgium take on World No. 11 Canada on November 28 at the 15,000-seater Kalinga Hockey Stadium.

Host nation and World No. 5 India will also be in action on the same day as they open their campaign against World No. 15 South Africa.
