High school Headmaster in Balasore under Vigilance scanner

Balasore: The Vigilance sleuths on Thursday conducted raids on the houses and office of the Headmaster of Panchupali Government High School, Manoranjan Barik under Baliapal block of the district on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Acting on a tip-off, a 16-member team of the Balasore Vigilance division conducted simultaneous searches at six different places including Barik’s paternal house at Khantapada Bazaar, his in-laws’ house in Seragarh, Angargadia, Manda and his office in Panchupali area.

Till the last reports were filed in, the anti-graft officials had seized some documents from his possession. However, the exact amount of disproportionate assets unearthed during the searches will be known after the raids are completely over, informed sources.
