Bhubaneswar: There seems to be no respite from the scorching summer as heat wave continues to make the lives of people miserable. According to State's meteorological department, intense heat conditions will prevail across the State for the next couple of days.

Meteorologist of Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, AK Nayak informed that the maximum temperature will stay the same for few days, but after that, temperature will further rise two to three degrees in interior parts of the State.

However, nor’wester rains might bring mercury down or else there would be no such changes in weather for the next few days, added Nayak.

On Wednesday, seven places of the State recorded temperatures above 40 degree Celsius. Titlagarh and Malkangiri remained the hottest at 42.5 degree Celsius followed by Bolangir at 41.5 degree C and Bhawanipatna 41.0 degree C.
