Sambalpur: Odisha government has extended the application submission deadline for the post of permanent director of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences Research (VIMSAR) at Burla in Sambalpur district. Odisha Health Minister Naba Kishore Das informed about the development on Saturday.

Speaking to media persons in Sambalpur about the appointment process of the VIMSAR director, Das said, “The State government had issued notification seeking application for appointment of the permanent director of VIMSAR. However, we are extending the deadline for applying for the post as we have not received any application in response to the advertisement.”

It is pertaining to mention here that the post of director at the institute has been lying vacant since Dr Ashwini Pujahari resigned on February 9, 2019. Dr Prakash Chandra Mahapatra was appointed as the acting director of VIMSAR.
