Girl student hurt after school gate collapses

Jajpur: Questions are being raised once again on safety of students in schools following an incident in which a girl student of a school in Bari block of Jajpur district was injured after the school gate collapsed on her today.

As per reports, the Class VII girl student of Bishnunai Upper Primary School was hurt when the concrete school gate fell on her.

She sustained critical injuries in her legs and was admitted to the nearby hospital, informed sources.

Earlier in July, a girl student of Binayakpur Primary school under Basudevpur block of Bhadrak district died while three other school children were injured after a wall collapsed on them while they were playing during school hours.
