Girl student commits suicide after being forced to pursue Science

Khurda: A Plus-II student of Prananath Autonomous College allegedly committed suicide in Khurda after being forced to pursue Science course by her family members.

The deceased has been identified as Swapnapriya Baliarsingh, a resident of Jankia Gadasahi village under Kanas Police limits of Khurda district.

Her body was found hanging inside a private hostel yesterday.

As per a suicide note, reportedly left by the deceased, family members had allegedly forced her to opt for Science stream in 10+2 but the girl couldn't handle the pressure and took the extreme step.
