Bhubaneswar: Ganesh Chaturthi, the festival which marks the beginning of festive season in Odisha was celebrated with gaiety and religious fervour across the State today.

Held on the 4th day of the Sukla Pakshya in the month of Bhadraba, Ganesh Chaturthi is a popular festival celebrated by people from all walks of life in the state.

Hundreds of Puja pandals have been decked up with artistic idols of Lord Ganesh adorning them, at educational institutions and public places across the state.

Apart from several pandals that have come up in all cities for celebrations, people almost in every house also prayed Lord Ganesh for good health, wealth and prosperity.

Students were seen gathering in large numbers to offer their reverence towards the Elephant God.
