Sambalpur: In good news for denizens of Sambalpur city, the district administration has decided to roll out free WiFi services between Ring Road and Samelswari Temple. According to reports, the free WiFi services will be launched across the town in a phased manner.

Welcoming the move, Prabhu Dutta Pujahari, a resident of Sambalpur, said, "These days there is a need for WiFi services everywhere. Earlier WiFi services were available only at the railway station and the GM University in the town. The proposed Ring Road WiFi services will be beneficial to many."

Echoing similar views, Newton Ray, another resident of the town, said, "We welcome the decision. Students will be greatly benefitted by this new service."

Elaborating on the WiFi project, Sambalpur Collector, Samarth Verma said "The services will be quite helpful for the residents of the town. A detailed project report (DPR) has been prepared and the Software Technology Park of India has been engaged as consultant. The tender will be floated soon and the services will be launched in a couple of months."
