Bhubaneswar: The Managing Director (MD) of a fake employment company was nabbed and sent to police custody thanks to alertness of a youth and another woman who were allegedly cheated by the company on promises of landing them jobs in Bhubaneswar.

According to sources, officials of a company named Smart Quicker Solution India had allegedly collected crores of rupees from hundreds candidates through a consultant office at Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar on promise providing jobs at various Private sector companies and Government agencies like BMC.

However, the company officials have been unable to give jobs to the candidates and were only giving assurances for quite some time.

On Wednesday, some candidates received an information that the company office could be closed and the MD of the firm Subash Nayak was reportedly about to leave the city with all the money.

Five to six candidates who had allegedly paid money rushed to the company office and nabbed the official and handed him to police.

After preliminary investigation, police found that the agency was a fraud company duping money from people on promise of jobs.

The MD of the company Subash Nayak has been arrested and further investigation to nab other officials of the agency is underway.

"The official had taken Rs 1 lakh from me on fake promise of giving me a job in BMC. My friends called me to inform that I should inform the matter to the police and nab the official as soon as possible or else he would flee the city," said a candidate.
