Ganjam: Four persons were arrested for allegedly trying to sell the land of a man by forging the signature of Bhanjanagar sub-collector.

The arrested persons include the son of a computer shop owner and an agent. They were trying to sell the land of a man belonging to the scheduled caste community in Narasinghapur Mouza under Aska block.

The accused were forwarded to a court.

On the basis of the complaint of Bhanjanagar sub-collector, police seized computer, printer, agreement papers, documents having forged signature of the sub-collector and other documents.

"Four persons were involved in the fraud. They did not have valid documents of the land. So they prepared fake documents and signature of Sub-collector to sell the land. Further investigation underway into the case," said IPS Reddy Raghavendra Gundala at a presser.
