Bhubaneswar: A Flour Mill in Mancheswar area of Bhubaneswar has become a COVID19 cluster with as many as 35 cases being reported from the factory in the past 24 hours which saw a record surge of 126 new COVID-19 in the smart city. It is the highest single-day spike of cases reported so far from the smart city. The earlier record was 124 cases.
With the record 126 cases, the COVID-19 tally in the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area reached 1,469 today. The total active cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 651 while 805 persons have already recovered from coronavirus infection in Bhubaneswar. The COVID-19 death toll in Bhubaneswar is 11.

BMC officials informed that of the total 126 new COVID-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours, 96 have been reported from various quarantine centres and 33 are local contact cases.
