Five Arrested Over Rape-Blackmail Row Between Banker & Lady Lecturer

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Sunday arrested the lady lecturer of a private college and an official of a private bank on charges of rape and blackmail allegations levelled by them against each other respectively. Three others accused of being involved in the case have also been arrested by police.

Chandrasekhar Police arrested one Sunil Prasad Mishra, who is working at a private bank in the capital city, based on the rape allegations levelled by the lady lecturer. Cops also arrested the lady lecturer and three of her male friends based on the counter-complaint lodged by the bank official who alleged that they abducted and forcefully took money from him.

Earlier on Friday, all of them were detained by the police for interrogation in connection with the matter. Later, two separated cases were registered against them on Saturday.

Sources said that both had met each other through dating application Tinder. As per the Sunil, both met at his residence seven days ago and had a consensual physical relationship and recorded some of their intimate moments.
