Fire Breaks Out In Nandankanan’s Botanical Garden In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Panic gripped visitors after fire broke out in an isolated place inside the Botanical garden of Nandankanan Zoological Park (NZP) on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

As per preliminary reports, the fire might have spread from one of the pindis (concrete structures) where people assemble and cook meals during excursion trips here.

Being a Sunday, there was large turnout of visitors at the Botanical garden. However, there are no reports of casualty in the fire mishap.

Following the incident, two teams of fire tenders rushed to the spot and launched a massive operation to douse the flames.
