Farm Bills: Farmers Stage Protest Across Odisha, Demand Withdrawal Of Agriculture Bills

Bhubaneswar: Farmers from across Odisha today launched protests against the three Agriculture Bills passed during the monsoon session of the Parliament.

Members of Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan On Friday staged protest in front of the AG Square in Bhubaneswar.

However, police took them into preventive custody after the protestors tried to barge into the Loka Seva Bhawan.

Besides, police detained several protestors of Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan (NNKS) who reportedly tried to gherao the Krushi Bhawan.

The youth wing of Cuttack unit of Congress and NNKS members also staged protests in Cuttack.

Moreover, farmers staged a road blockade near Remuna (NH-16) in Balasore district demanding immediate withdrawal of the farm bills.
