Family escapes unhurt in LPG cylinder blast in Bolangir

Bolangir: It was a close shave for a family after three LPG cylinders inside their house at Malapada of Bolangir exploded under mysterious circumstances on Saturday night.

As per reports, the explosion took place at around 1 am inside the kitchen of one Himanshu Panda's house near Ram Mandir in Malapada.

Himanshu’s family members were fast asleep when the explosion took place.

The intensity of the blast was so powerful that the kitchen and other furniture kept in another room were completely damaged.However, there was no report of fire following the blast.

As per the latest reports, staff of the gas agency visited the spot and started investigation to ascertain the reason behind the LPG cylinder explosion.
