Fake Notes Worth Rs 7.9 Crore Seized In Odisha, 3 Detained
Koraput: Police on Tuesday seized counterfeit currency notes with a face value of Rs 7.90 crore at Sunki outpost under Pottangi police limits in the district.
Patangi police reportedly seized the counterfeit currency notes when it was being transported to Chhattisgarh in a car by three persons.
Police have detained the three persons in connection with the case and further investigation is underway, informed Sunabeda SDPO.
The police seized 1,580 bundles (each bundle consists of 100 notes in the face value of Rs 500 denomination) worth Rs 7.9 crores.
