EOW arrests 4 persons in Rs 1.22 cr-fraud at RMRC

Bhubaneswar: The Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch arrested four persons in connection with a fraud worth Rs 1.22 crore at the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) in Bhubaneswar.

Out of the four arrested persons, two persons are non-Odia traders.

As per reports, the fraud was executed using forged cheques and documents following which a complaint was filed by RMRC officials at the EOW.

According to sources, steno Dilip Kumar Mohanty and some other officials are involved in the fraud case. Mohanty has already been arrested once before, informed sources.

An investigation is currently underway by the EOW.
