Bhubaneswar: With speculations of early polls rife after Election Commission started trainings on poll management for government officials, the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) on Sunday held its legislature party meeting at the residence of Opposition leader Narasingha Mishra to chalk out strategies for the upcoming general elections.

In the meeting, the Congress leaders discussed measures to be taken to strengthen the party organisation at the grassroots level by reaching out to people as much as possible.

"We discussed how to defeat both the BJD and the BJP and how to expose their anti-people policies and corruptions. We also discussed plans to highlight the failures of the BJD government in Odisha and the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre," said Mishra after the meeting.

Both the BJD and BJP are having hands in gloves and have secret political nexus, Mishra alleged.
