Bhadrak: At least eight persons have been injured in a clash between two groups following a dispute over biryani in Odisha’s Bhadrak district. The incident has been reported from Jagannath Sahi under Dhusuri police limits.

As per reports, few youths entered into an argument with some locals who had set up a temporary fast food unit in the locality.

Later, a meeting was convened to resolve the dispute in the village. However, the entire incident snowballed into a major controversy after members of both groups attacked each other and pelted stones. Five two wheelers and a house have also been ransacked in the clash.

Though it is still unclear whether the clash was the fallout of previous rivalry, police force has been deployed in the area to maintain law and order.

All the eight injured have been admitted to hospital and their condition is stated to be stable.
