Phulbani: A mild earthquake of magnitude 3.2 hit several parts of Odisha on Friday night triggering panic among the residents.

According to initial reports, the tremors were felt in Baliguda, Daringbadi, Raikia and Mohana at around 9.45 pm today.

The panic-stricken residents rushed out of their houses in fear. As the intensity of the earthquake was low, no damage to property has been reported so far.

Being a tourism season, a lot of tourists who were there at the hill station of Daringibadi were left shell shocked at the natural phenomenon.

A Bengali family from Kolkata who were on a holiday trip to Daringibadi said, "We were sitting to dine when the tremors were felt. We immediately rushed into the open to save our lives. Thankfully nobody was injured."
