Bhubaneswar: The regional Meteorological department on Friday predicted that most of the parts of Odisha are likely to witness dry weather for the next three days.
Gaurang Charan Behera, duty officer of Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, said that most parts of the State likely to witness dry weather due to the gradual movement of the low pressure formed over Bay of Bengal towards Central India.
The low pressure is presently lying over Madhya Pradesh and Odisha will not be significantly affected due to it, apart from sparse rainfall activities at one or two places.
“Though there is no any waning of heavy rainfall as of now, the State might receive more spells of rain under impact of another low pressure after August 12. Several districts like Sundergarh, Sambalpur and Deogarh are likely to witness rainfall during the time,” Behera said.
The weatherman further said that Odisha has recorded 9 percent deficit rainfall till date; however, it would get more rainfall once the monsoon becomes active again after August 12.
