DRDA Head Clerk Lands In Vigilance Net In Disproportionate Assets Case

Bhawanipatna: Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday conducted raids at the office and residence of head clerk of Kalahandi District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

A team of officials led by Kalahandi Vigilance DSP Satyaban Mahananda carried out simultaneous raids at the residences of the head clerk, identified as Haraprasad Achari. His home in Ram Nagar Pada of Bhawanipatna and ancestral house at Mandar Bagicha Pada were raided.

“There were allegations against the clerk for amassing disproportionate assets. Following the direction of SP, Vigilance, Koraput division, the searches are being conducted at his residence, ancestral house and his office,” DSP Mahahanda said.

The Vigilance officials reportedly seized cash, gold jewelleries and other documents. The search operations were underway till the last reports came in.
