Divyang voter levels serious allegation against poll officials in Jajpur

Jajpur: A divyang youth, who had gone to cast his vote at booth number 59 under Jajpur Lok Sabha constituency on Monday, has levelled serious allegation against the poll officials appointed at the centre.

The youth, Biranchi Narayan Sahoo, alleged that after completing his document verification when he asked a poll official to take him to the voting counter, instead of getting help someone else went there to vote for him.

"I was not allowed to cast my vote and some other person pressed the EVM button on behalf of me without my consent," alleged Biranchi.

He also alleged that when he protested the act, the polling team told him that disabled persons can't cast their vote.
