Malkangiri: After a brief lull, Maoists have unleashed terror by killing two elected representatives on the suspicion of being police informers in Bijapur of Chhattisgarh bordering Odisha’s Malkangiri district.

The deceased have been identified as Dhaniram Korsa, a former deputy sarpanch of Bardela village and Gopal Kudiyam of nearby Gongla village.

Both incidents took place under Jangla Police limits on Wednesday night, SP Kamal Lochan Kashyap informed. Sources said the ultras brutally murdered the duo with sharp weapons in front of other villagers.
