DEO Arrested A Month After Recovery Of Teacher’s Body From His Residence 

Koraput: Almost a month after a teacher was found hanging in the official quarter of district education officer (DEO) in Koraput, a special squad of police have arrested the DEO Pramod Panda from Cuttack in connection with the case. Earlier, two persons were arrested by Koraput police over the incident.

On December 8, Chittaranjan, a resident of Dasmantpur block was found dead at Pramod's residence & later a handwritten note blaming DEO & seven others was recovered.

Police retrieved the body of deceased Chittaranjan by breaking open the door of the quarters. However, the concerned DEO was not present in his residence.

Family members of the deceased had alleged that Chittaranjan was murdered and also claimed that he was under mental pressure from the higher-ups after he misplaced two important files.
