Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha will experience a dense cover of fog for the next 5 days, predicted India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday.

As per the weather bulletin, shallow to moderate fog will occur at some parts of Odisha while dense fog alert has been issued for some districts till February 1, 2021.

In view of the IMD’s dense fog forecast, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) office today issued an advisory for district Collectors, Police and Transport department officials to take necessary steps for ensuring a controlled movement of vehicular traffic on high ways during dense fog to minimise accidents.

Here is a complete weather outlook till February 1, 2021:

Day 1 (Valid From valid from 0830 hrs IST of 29.01.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 30.01.2021)

Light rain likely to occur at one or two places over the district of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Dry weather most likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning ( Be updated): Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda,Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul.

Day 2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 30.01.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 31.01.2021)

Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Angul, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Boudh.

Yellow Warning( Be updated): Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Nayagarh, Angul, Puri, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj.

Day 3(valid from 0830 hrs IST of 31.01.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 01.02.2021)

Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri

Yellow Warning( Be updated): Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Boudh, Puri, Khordha,Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak.
