Bhubaneswar/ Cuttack: A thick blanket of dense fog enveloped twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar on Sunday. This was perhaps for the first time this year that normal life here was adversely affected as visibility dropped considerably, creating problems for commuters on road.

Earlier, several parts of Odisha had experienced the winter chill with minimum temperature dropping by two to three degrees than the normal temperature. Normal life particularly in Boudh, Sundergarh and Kandhamal district was also hit due to extreme cold wave conditions in the past two days.

“I had faced numerous problems in travelling to Bhubaneswar on two-wheeler as I could hardly see the road due to the dense fog. I had not anticipated such situation today,” said Dinesh Bharadwaj, a resident of Cuttack.

Bharadwaj further said that as one portion of the road near Trishulia bridge (towards Barang) was closed due to construction work, it also caused inconvenience.
