Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued dense fog alert for several parts of Odisha for the next 48 hours.

As per the latest bulletin by the weather forecasting agency, dry weather is likely to prevail in almost all parts of the State. However, some districts will witness shallow to moderate fog in the early hours of the day in the next 48 hours.

Here is a complete weather outlook for the next two days:

Day 1 (Valid From 8.30 hours of January 2 to 8.30 hours of January 3)

Shallow to moderate fog likely in the districts of Angul, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Kandhamal, Khordha, Nayagarh, Boudh, Koraput, Malkangiri, Puri, Kalahandi, Dhenakanl, Jajpur, Sundergarh and Jharsuguda.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog likely to occur at one or two places in the districts of Angul, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak and Kandhamal.

Day 2 (Valid From 8.30 hours of January 3 to 8.30 hours of January 4)

Shallow to moderate fog likely to occur in the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Khordha, Puri, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh and Rayagada.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog warning alert issued for the districts of Bhadrak, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur and Kandhamal.

As per IMD, there will be no change in the minimum temperature during the next two days. However, mercury will rise gradually by two to three degrees subsequently.
