Bhubaneswar: The office of the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) on Monday issued an advisory in view of the dense fog alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The SRC has asked police and transport department officials to take necessary measures for controlled plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to prevent accidents.

As per the IMD bulletin, at least 10 districts of the State will experience dense fog early in the morning tomorrow.

The dense fog alert has been issued for the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Boudh, Sonepur, Bargarh and Nayagarh.

Here is complete weather outlook for the next couple of days:

Day 1 (Valid till 0830 Hours of December 8)

Yellow Warning: Dense fog is likely to occur at Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Boudh, Sonepur, Bargarh and Nayagarh.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hours of December 8 to 0830 hours of December 9)

Shallow to moderate fog likely to occur in the districts of north coastal Odisha, Kalahandi, Sonepur, Boudh, Rayagada, Nayagarh and Khordha.

Day 3:(Valid from 0830 hours of December 9 to 0830 hours of December 10)

Shallow to moderate fog likely to occur in the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal,Bolangir, Nuapada, Rayagada, Sonepur, Boudh and Nabarangpur.
