Decomposed body of female elephant found

Dhenkanal: The decomposed body of a female elephant was found from Markata Ambakhola forest at Kamakhyanagar under the Eastern forest range.

According to forest officials, the elephant had died in the forest about 15 days ago.

“Investigation is on to find out the circumstances under which the elephant died. The exact reason behind the death can be ascertained only after the completion of the investigation,” said Kamakhyanagar Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) Maheswar Patnaik.
