Cuttack: Police today took Narayan Sahu, the suspected serial killer behind the three brutal murders in Cuttack, to one of the crime spots for reconstruction of the sequence of events that led to the crime.

Reportedly, police took Sahu near OMP Chhak where he demonstrated how he executed the crime. Police also recovered the hidden murder weapon based on the information given by Sahu during interrogation which was continuing since June 29 after his detention.

On the other hand, Sahu’s wife Gitanjali has refuted the allegations leveled against her husband and said that he is being falsely implicated in the murder cases. She also met Nayagarh SP yesterday and filed a complaint at Nayagarh Police Station in this regard.

On July 23, a man was found brutally murdered near Taladanda canal and close on its heels, on July 24, a daily wage labourer was found dead under OMP Bridge with injury marks on his neck and head. In another incident, an elderly rag picker was found in critical condition near the Cardiology department of SCB Hospital. The man later succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment. Citing circumstantial evidences & sequence of the murders, Police had established that a serial killer was behind the killings.
