Cuttack: Once again the poor drainage systems caused massive waterlogging inside several wards of the premier State-run SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. At least two wards- Surgery and Radio-diagnosis department were flooded following a heavy spell of rain that lashed the city this evening.

Waterlogging inside the two departments caused severe inconvenience to patients as well their attendants.

"I had come for X-ray but the entire room is waterlogged. I do not know whether the diagnosis will be possible today or not," said a patient.

SCB Superintendent CBK Mohanty informed that the city witnessed heavy rain today for which such situation cropped up.

"Despite desilting of drains, several parts of the hospital were waterlogged. We will take up the matter with concerned officials of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) and other departments for necessary measures," said Mohanty.
