Cuttack: Expelled BJD leader Damodar Rout once again spewed venom against Odisha government today and targeted Barabati-Cuttack MLA Debasish Samantaray.

Rout, who organised a massive road show in Cuttack today, alleged that the local MLA is involved in corruption particularly in execution of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)-assisted integrated sanitation project in the city.

“People in Cuttack very well know about the misdeeds of Debasish Samantaray. He has plundered huge wealth through corruption. Besides, he was the one who along with several others tried to disrupt the public meeting of late CM Biju Patnaik. But now he is one of the favourites of CM Naveen Patnaik,” alleged Damodar Rout.

Responding to Damodar Rout’s allegations, senior BJD leader Rabi Nanda stated that the attempts by the former to malign the party will not yield results.

“The statements of a person who has been suspended by the party will not have any impact,” said Nanda.
