Bolangir: Ever been in love? The feeling stretches to infinity and the journey seems like a walk from everlasting to everlasting with no resting points in between. Chandramani Tandi of Luhurapali area under Bongamunda Tehsil of Bolangir district was studying B.Tech at a private college in Bhubaneswar. Like any other engineering student, Tandi also led a routine life until he met Sunita Sangma on Facebook in 2018.

Sunita happens to be a citizen of Nepal, and a daughter of a well-established rubber farmer there.

Despite this astounding fact, both of them became engrossed in chats and calls, so much so that they realised they are made for each other. Sunita decided to cross the geographical barrier to stay with Tandi and his family.

From Nepal To Bhubaneswar To Bolangir

Six months back, Sunita gave him the surprise of his life when she reached Bhubaneswar railway station to meet him. Tandi managed to convince his parents and then took Sunita to his village Luhurapali where both tied the nuptial knot at a temple.

"I was so madly in love with him that I couldn't stay away. I am very happy with him. The feeling is great," expressed Sunita Sangma.

"When she came to Bhubaneswar, I decided to leave hostel and applied for a distance course. I have managed to eke out a living by vegetable vending," said Chandramani.

Sunita's in-laws, on the other hand, tried hard to make her believe that she will not be able to lead a blissful life in their house, but to no avail. "Our house is in a dilapidated condition. I let her know that she will have to sacrifice a lot of things, and do daily chores. And she happily agreed. We are lucky to have her," said Chandramani's mother Gomati Tandi.

His father Jagdish Tandi is also a happy man now. "She respects us and our traditions. Yes, she can speak Hindi and Odia as well. She takes care of us and I feel she has all the qualities to be a good daughter-in-law," as put across by Jagdish.

The positive element here is Sunita's parents are in touch with her and have promised that would be coming to Odisha to meet their daughter very soon.

True, love has no boundaries.
