Bhubaneswar: A senior IPS officer on Thursday lost his battle to Covid-19 while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bhubaneswar.
DIG Sunil Kumar Parth who had tested positive for Covid-19 a few days ago succumbed to the virus today.

He was posted as DIG at CRPF Bhubaneswar centre.
Due to his untimely demise, the CRPF lost a most efficient officer, a statement issued by the group centre said.

“Homage to Departed soul. With deep grief, CRPF remember Shri Sunil Kumar Parth, DIG who lost his battle in fighting with COVID-19 in Hospital on 6/5/2021,” it added.

During his tenure at Group Center CRPF, Bhubaneswar, Parth had made sincere efforts for monumental changes in different regimental institutions with standard of living conditions.

The Group centre described him as a great leader and a source of inspiration for all ranks. “His dedication bear tangible results during first wave of pandemic and not a single casualty occurred in Bhubaneswar CRPF campus’ the statement added.

His untimely and suddenly death was irreparable loss for the central forces.

“He will be remembered and remained in our thoughts and hearts for his good work noble personality.” Group Center, CRPF, stated.
