Bhubaneswar: In the wake of the prevailing heat wave conditions, the Odisha government on Monday announced revision in the timings for the ongoing COVID vaccination drive.
As per the notification issued by the State Family Welfare Department to all the District Magistrates and Collectors, the COVID-19 vaccination sessions will be conducted in all session sites from 8 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm.
“All arrangements like waiting space, observation room, vaccination room and drinking water facility will be made available at these timings,” Additional Chief Secretary (Health) PK Mohapatra wrote.
The Collectors were further directed to ensure Covid appropriate behavior like use of mask, hand washing and social distancing at all the session sites.
Mohapatra also stressed on awareness generation among the people to achieve the daily vaccination target of 2 lakh set by the government.
“However, all efforts will be taken through awareness generation among the community and mobilization of beneficiaries to achieve daily target fixed for each districts. The district daily report should be submitted to the State by 6.30 pm positively,” the notice read.
