Cuttack: After a few staff of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) tested positive for COVID-19, the CMC authorities on Tuesday clamped restrictions on the entry of public into the office building of Biju Bhavan and Bikash Bhavan as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of the virus.

As per a notification issued by CMC, the restrictions will remain in force for a period of fifteen days.

“Due to detection of COVID-19 positive cases from among the staff of the CMC, the public will be restrained for 15 (fifteen) days to enter into the office building of Biju Bhavan and Bikash Bhavan. Only the officers and staff shall be permitted to enter the office,” CMC notification read.

The order would be implemented with immediate effect.

Apart from CMC headquarters (Biju Bhavan) and Bikash Bhavan, entry of visitors to the office of Deputy Commissioner Of Police (DCP) has also been restricted. No visitor will be allowed inside DCP office for a period of seven days, sources said.
