Bhubaneswar: The Covid-19 recoveries in Odisha went past 40,000 on Saturday with as many as 1521 patients recuperating from the infections in the last 24 hours.
The highest number of 272 patients were recovered from Ganjam, 231 from Khurda, 166 from Cuttack, 93 from Rayagada, 89 from Sundergarh, 80 from Puri, 77 from Kalahandi, 61 from Balasore, 56 from Nayagarh, 54 from Gajapati, 54 from Sambalpur, 52 from Jajpur, 46 from Koraput, 26 from Bhadrak, 26 from Kandhamal, 22 from Malkangiri, 19 from Keonjhar 16 from Jagatsinghpur, 13 from Angul, 13 from Bolangir, 13 from Kendrapara, 10 from Baragarh
10 from Jharsuguda, 9 from Sonepur, 6 from Mayurbhanj, 5 from Boudh and 2 from Nabarangpur district.

The total recovered cases of Odisha now stand at 40726. With this, the active cases in the State have come down to 16,013.
Earlier in the day, Odisha witnessed the biggest-ever jump in Covid-19 cases with 2496 persons testing positive for the virus, pushing the overall case tally to 57,126.
Nine more coronavirus related deaths were also reported in the State. The virus death toll in the State now stands at 333.
