Bhubaneswar: The Covid-19 death toll in Odisha rose to 907 with 15 more fatalities while the cumulative caseload rose to 232713 with the detection of 3326 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Of the fresh cases, 1945 patients are from quarantine, while 1381 are local contact cases, informed State I&PR department.

According to the data shared by the government, Khordha reported the maximum 638 new novel coronavirus cases followed by Cuttack with 268 positives. Apart from them, 11 other districts reported 100-plus cases.

Jajpur (148), Nuapada (147), Puri (140), Mayurbhanj (131), Balasore (122), Angul (119), Jharsuguda (107), Sambalpur (107), Balasore (103), Kendrapara (103) and Keonjhar recorded 101 cases.

The Health and Family Welfare Department shared the details of 15 Covid-19 positive patients who succumbed while undergoing treatment in hospitals.

  • 48-year-old male of Kendrapada district suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease, Diabetes & Hypertension
  • 85 year old male of Kendrapada district
  • 65-year-old female of Keonjhar district suffering from Diabetes
  • 74-year-old male of Khordha district suffering from Diabetes, Hypertension
  • 55-year-old female of Koraput district
  • 65 year-old-male of Malkangiri district suffering from Diabetes
  • 73-year-old female of Sambalpur district suffering from Diabetes

The total number of patients in Odisha who have recovered from the disease stands at 198194, while active case count is 33559.
