Bhubaneswar: With a single-day spike of 1709 Covid-19 cases, the virus tally in Odisha went up to 291825 on Sunday. The death of 11 patients undergoing treatment for coronavirus at various hospital pushed the toll to 1331.
Of the fresh cases, 985 were detected from quarantine, while 724 were local contact cases. Three districts of the State recorded cases over 100- Khordha (170), Cuttack (126) and Sundergarh (112), informed State Information and Public Relations Department.

With this, the Covid-19 actives cases now stands at 14692 while 275749 persons have recovered from the disease so far, added the I&PR department.
Similarly, the State Health and Family Welfare Department informed that three patients succumbed to the infection in Sundergarh while Angul, Cuttack, Deogarh, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Khordha Malkangiri, Nuapada districts reported one death each.
Regret to inform the demise of eleven covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals.

As many as 46045 samples were tested in the last 24 hours taking the number of samples tested cumulatively across the State to 4601860 on Sunday.
