Nabarangpur: Three days after the night curfew in the district that was imposed by the Nabarangpur district administration on March 25, 2021, the restrictions have been lifted on Sunday, March 28, 2021.

As per reports, the decision to lift the night curfew was taken after the daily reported cases of COVID 19 reduced these days.

An order issued by the District Collector in this connection read, "Keeping in view the decreasing trend of COVID-19 cases since last few days in the district, the orders under Section-144 (1) of Cr.PC read with Section-144 (2) of Cr PC prohibiting the movement of individuals during night curfew between 8 PM to 6 AM is hereby revoked with immediate effect."

It is worthwhile to mention here that, a day after the night curfew was clamped in Malkangiri to contain the spread of COVID-19,  the Nabarangpur district administration had decided to impose the restrictions from March 25 between 8 PM and 6 AM.

Meanwhile, Odisha reported a daily spike of 290 cases on Sunday, out of which 171 cases were from quarantine centres and 119 were local contact cases. However, as far as the district of Nabarangpur is concerned, while only one positive case was found in the district on Saturday, the number reduced to zero on Sunday.
