Couple commits suicide in Jajpur

Jajpur: A married couple allegedly committed suicide by consuming posion following the death of their 8-year-old son. The deceased have been identified as Pravat Jena and Pravati Jena of Udrang village under Binjharpur block of Jajpur.

Both the wife and husband were immediately shifted to Jajpur District Medical Headquarters in a critical condition. However, both of them died later.

According to sources, the couple took the extreme step out of depression after their son died of Thalassemia four days back.
