Odisha's Coronavirus Recovery Tally Rises By 2796 In A Day

Bhubaneswar: As many as 2796 patients recovered from Covid-19 in Odisha taking the State's total recoveries to 2,32,988.

State Health department informed that the highest number of recoveries were reported from Khordha district where 582 patients were declared free of the viral disease.

Similarly, Cuttack recorded 179, Jajpur 148, Angul 135, Puri 127 recoveries. A a total of 9 districts reported 100-plus recovered cases.

Earlier in the day, Odisha registered 2275 new cases of novel-Coronavirus, its lowest daily-case spike in almost a month and a half. The overall virus tally has now jumped to 256937 with 1318 patients from quarantine while 957 are local contact cases.

As per the State Health & Family Welfare department, 17 more patients have succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours taking the total death toll to 1057.
