Odisha is all set to cross the 1 lakh milestone in COVID-19 testing soon, informed State Chief Secretary, Asit Tripathy on Monday. 'While cumulative RT-PCR test count in India is 23 lakhs, we in Odisha have conducted 95,766 tests till date and it is set to cross the 1 lakh milestone tonight,' said Tripathy.
Odisha’s COVID tally now stands at 896 with detection of 68 positive cases today. Jagatsinghpur which became COVID-free after 5 patients recovered today, reported 20 more positive cases later in the day.
Earlier today, as many as 57 COVID-19 patients were cured of the disease today taking the total number of recoveries in State to 277, informed Health and Family Welfare Department. Of these, 40 are from Ganjam, 5 from Jagatsinghpur, 4 from Mayurbhanj, 3 Bhubaneswar, 2 Bolangir, 1 each from Sundergarh, Balasore and Kendrapara districts.
