Cuttack: One more person, who was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack on suspicion of being infected by Coronavirus, tested negative for the deadly virus today.

According to sources, the suspect hailing from Pattamundai in Kendrapara district had reportedly returned to the State from Oman recently. His blood and swab samples were tested at the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) in Bhubaneswar and the result came out to be negative.

According to sources, all the five suspects undergoing treatment at SCB tested negative for the deadly virus. Yesterday, two suspects were tested negative for Coronavirus. Similarly, a couple who had arrived at Paradip port from Singapore have already tested negative.

Meanwhile, the total number of Coronavirus positive cases touched 50 in India out of which 34 are Indian nationals and 16 are citizens of Italy. After the 44 positive cases declared yesterday, four positive cases were reported from Bengaluru while two positive cases from Pune. However, there has been no death so far, informed Sanjeeva Kumar, Special Secretary, Union Health Ministry.
