Coronavirus: 36 Police Personnel Including DSP Test Positive In Sundergarh
Sundergarh: The worrying trends of coronavirus infections among the frontline workers including doctors, health workers and police personnel continue to stoke concerns in Odisha with as many as 36 police personnel testing positive for the virus in Sundergarh on Tuesday.
According to the information shared by Sundergarh district Collector, among the 52 new Covid-19 positive cases detected in the region today, 36 are police personnel while one is a doctor. There is a DSP and an inspector among the infected personnel.

The remaining new cases include six returnees, seven contacts of previous positive cases and 2 local contact cases.
All the infected persons have been either shifted to COVID hospital Rourkela, COVID Health Centre, NTPC Hospital, Sundargarh or home quarantined as per the new guidelines of government, Sundergarh Collector Nikhil Pawan Kalyan informed through a tweet.
“Out of the 37 home quarantined COVID warriors, 15 will be shifted to COVID health centre based on their health condition,” the Collector added.
