Constable Impersonating As Maoist Arrested In Rayagada

Rayagada: A District Voluntary Force (DVF) constable was arrested by Rayagada police yesterday for impersonating as Maoist to extort money from a person.

As per reports, the DVF constable, G. Shrikant Kumar tried to extort money from one Shaban Kumar Mohanty in Jeypore by impersonating as a Maoist.

Later, after knowing Shrikant's identity, Shavan lodged a complaint with the police following which cops arrested the accused.

Through a press conference, Rayagada Superintendent of Police informed that a 9 mm pistol with 24 rounds of bullet, three mobile phones and a two wheeler was recovered from the accused.
