Congress MLA Sura Routray’s Son To Join Active Politics

Bhubaneswar: Manmath Routray, youngest son of senior Congress leader and MLA Suresh Routray, is all set to foray into active politics. Manmath has been closely observing and assisting his father in his ongoing efforts to serve people in the constituency.

“I have never seen my father as a politician rather he is a social activist for me. His style of working is certainly an inspiration for youngsters,” said Manmath.

Manmath further said, “In the last two elections, we assisted my father in devising strategy as elections these days are all about poll management system. We have learnt a lot from it.”

Clearing the air, Manmath said, “My father always advised me to focus on career and stay away from politics. But, we will now work for the next four years with people and they will take a final call.”

Recently, the senior Congress leader’s elder son Sidhart was spotted in Congress Bhawan on the party’s foundation day celebrations. He had also then evinced interest in joining politics.

On his sons’ political aspirations, Suresh Routray said, “My son Manmath is looking after everything while my elder son is away now. I am sure that he (Manmath) will do good works and serve people well.”
