Bhubaneswar: Odisha Congress on Wednesday came down heavily on the ruling-BJD accusing the State Tourism and Culture Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi of taking his personal guests to attend the 'Odisha Tourism Road Show at Hyderabad' on government expenses.
Accusing the Tourism minister of misutilising government funds, Congress leader Satya Nayak today said that to attend the road show in Hyderabad (which was held on October 4, 2019), the Additional Secretary of the Tourism Department was directed to arrange air tickets and hotel accommodation for Panigrahi and his two guests on government expenses.
He further alleged that the two women guests, who accompanied the minister, stayed at a five star hotel while Panigrahi himself stayed at Taj Krishan 'even though he is not entitled' for such accommodation.
"Why should the Odisha Tourism department arrange air tickets and accommodation for the minister's guests? The minister must explain and the CM should take immediate action to prove he is really serious about the implementation of 'Mo Sarkar and 5T' in the State," added Nayak.

However, Panigrahi refused to comment on the allegations terming them fake.
